Praslin

Praslin, the Seychelles’ second largest island, is 3 hours by boat or 15 minutes by air from Mahe, and only a 25 minute boat trip to La Digue. A blueprint for tropical islands, Praslin is rich in its astounding variety of plant and animal life. Huge granite boulders and lush vegetation dot the island while coral reefs teeming with different species of marine life paint a living seascape.

Most of the island’s interior is virgin forest and the beautiful Vallee de Mai, a World Heritage Site, features the unique coco-de-mer palm. It is also home to the rare black parrot, Seychelles’ national bird. Praslin offers a variety of accommodation options and has some of the Seychelles’ best beaches.
