It will apply to any personal information you or others provide to us: * · When getting quotes; * · When making a booking; * · When requesting brochures or information using any media including: mail; email; internet; telephone * · Under any other contract, agreement or arrangement. Our Privacy Statement also applies to information about you that is provided to us by other parties including travel agents and airlines. This Privacy Statement does not apply to Beachcomber employee's records. These are generally exempt from the legislation. The Information We Collect About You The personal information we collect from you depend on the circumstances of collection and on the type of service you request from us. EG when we are requested to make your travel arrangements, we may collect details such as: your name; address; flight and other travel details; credit/debit card numbers and expiry date; billing address; contact telephone numbers; Frequent Flyer number or other loyalty program membership details, dietary requirements and health issues relating to your travel arrangements. As we are required by law to obtain your consent to the collection of "sensitive information" we will assume that you have consented to the collection of all information which is provided to us for use in accordance with this Statement, unless you tell us otherwise. Collecting Information Your personal information may be collected when you deal with us on the telephone, send us correspondence (by letter, fax or email), visit our web sites or when you have contact with us in person. As well as collecting information directly from you, there may be occasions when we collect information about you from a third party. For example: * · From people making travel bookings on your behalf (usually your travel agent); * · From third party companies eg telesales, that collect your personal information and disclose it to us so that we can issue you with tickets and make and fulfill your travel arrangements or market our products and services to you; * · From market research companies contracted by us to get information for improving and/or marketing our services and products; Use Of Your Personal Information Your personal information is collected for the following purposes: * · To process travel arrangements and other transactions; * · To conduct marketing activities and market research; Some of the personal information we collect is essential for accurate identification of who is using the service/s provided. Other types of personal information collected help us to profile who is using our services and what their interests are. Giving of Personal Information to Third Parties Your personal information may be disclosed to third parties, for example, to our contractors contracted out for certain services, airline carriers, travel and service providers, data processing companies (including operators of global distribution systems and payment clearing houses) for the purpose for which the information was collected or for related purposes, for example to complete a transaction on your behalf or provide services that you have requested. We may also disclose your personal information to various law enforcement agencies and governments around the world for security, customs and immigration reasons. Your information may be shared between related companies of Beachcomber, where necessary to fulfill our purposes. Access to and Correction of Your Information On request, we will provide you with access to information held about you, unless there is an exception which applies under the National Privacy Principles, including for the purpose of correcting or updating that information.
