Mauritian Discovery is a unique 13 night package offering guests the opportunity to discover Mauritius by staying at three great resorts and view island sights en-route. The package is based on two passengers travelling together and includes a private driver/guide. Visit the vibrant oriental markets and Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis, take a stroll through the beautiful Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, go off the beaten track through forests to Chamarel, indulge in a cup of tea and a wealth of history at the Bois Cheri tea factory and sail with the wind in your hair on a spectacular catamaran cruise along the west coast.

Day 1/2 Arrive in Mauritius. Transfer to Le Mauricia Hotel. Relax on the beach, by the pool or stroll to Grand Baie, two minutes away, for shops, markets, restaurants and more. Le Mauricia Hotel - BD

Day 3 Depart hotel for a half day tour to Port Louis, the island’s capital. After stopping at the Citadel fortress overlooking the city, experience the lively atmosphere of the oriental markets where bargains are plentiful, or shop in the boutiques and craft market of the Caudan Waterfront. After visiting Port Louis, continue to the exotic Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens and discover this oasis of flora, home to a wide variety of trees and exotic plants from around the world. Day 4/5 At leisure. During your stay, hire a taxi and drive around the northern tip for views of Coin de Mire, Cap Malheureux or down the north-west coast for spectacular scenery. Le Mauricia Hotel - BD

Day 6 Check out and travel south on your private transfer to the spectacular Paradis Hotel & Golf Club. Enroute, journey inland to visit the sacred Hindu lake, Grand Bassin. After a short stop, continue to the historic Bois Cheri tea factory to enjoy a cup of Mauritian tea and learn the history of tea manufacturing. Travel to Black River Gorges for spectacular views before proceeding to Chamarel to view the waterfall and seven-coloured earths.

Day 7/8 These two days are at leisure. Indulge yourself at the CLARINS Spa, enjoy a round of golf or just relax on the beautiful beach. Paradis Hotel & Golf Club - BD

Day 9 Enjoy a catamaran cruise along the west coast and take in the magnificent views of the Black River Mountain range and the famous ‘Le Morne Brabant’. With luck you may come across the dolphins in Tamarin Bay. During the day, the catamaran will stop for swimming and snorkelling. A barbeque lunch and drinks are provided on board.

Day 10/11 Days at leisure.

Day 12/13 Drive along the southern coast to the exotic Shandrani Resort & Spa. Stop at historic St Aubin colonial house with its traditional rum distillery, anthuriums nursery, vanilla plantations and botanical garden. Continue to the viewpoint at Gris-Gris that overlooks the beach and dramatic headland. Continue to La Vanille Nature Park, home to crocodiles, bats, giant tortoises and other tropical fauna and flora.

Day 14 Morning at leisure. Transfer to airport for your departure.
