Overview

One of the most popular four-star resorts in Mauritius, Le Canonnier has a stunning north west location on a sheltered and historic peninsula, only ten minutes from the bustling village of Grand Baie and 25 minutes from the capital, Port Louis.

The resort is one of the island’s best places to enjoy magnificent sunsets and sweeping views of the northern islets. Within the extensive hotel grounds are an ancient lighthouse, home to the Bob Marlin Miniclub, the ruins of a fortress, several cannons and an enormous banyan tree that encapsulates the Wellness Centre.

Two restaurants serve a diversity of cuisine and there are two bars, one handy to the pool, the other positioned perfectly for cocktails at sundown. Breakfast and dinner are included in your package and the worry of extra holiday costs can be taken out of the equation by upgrading to the resort’s fantastic All Inclusive package.

As an added bonus, guests on all inclusive can dine and use the facilities at sister resort, Le Mauricia, only ten minutes drive away in the heart of Grand Baie.

The hotel accommodation is on two levels in a horseshoe shape, affording views of the sea, pools and gardens. Rooms are bright and modern with excellent amenities. Two bedroom apartments set in the gardens are also available for families.

Activities and entertainment abound at Le Canonnier. During the day there are many free land and water sports including water-skiing, windsurfing, tennis and archery. And when the sun goes down, guests are entertained with lively shows, bands, local musicians and DJ’s.



 

All Inclusive Option

The popular All Inclusive package at Le Canonnier is great value for money, is convenient, and includes a fantastic selection of food and beverages. The buffet lunch and selection of sandwiches from the bar will ensure no one goes hungry. For those venturing outside the resort a picnic basket can be arranged for lunch. An extensive range of cocktails and ‘mocktails’, and a selection of local spirits and beers, are available at the bar. House wines are served throughout the day and during meals. Juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included as are mini-bar items in your room.

Standard Garden/Pool Facing Standard Sea Facing Standard rooms are beautifully appointed with modern furnishings and décor. They have a warm, refreshing look and are scattered throughout the hotel complex in various positions on both ground and first floors, facing either the sea or with pool and garden views. Superior Garden/Pool Facing Superior Sea Facing The bedroom of the Superior rooms is similar in design and decor to that of the Standard rooms, but is larger and offers greater space and comfort. Superior bathrooms are much larger and feature a separate shower and bath. Rooms are both sea facing and pool/garden facing. Family Duplex Garden/Pool Facing Family Duplex Sea Facing These unique duplex options feature a split-level style of accommodation with separate bathroom. The duplex has a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom for the adults and an upstairs mezzanine level for the second bedroom. Family duplexes are both sea facing and pool/garden facing. Wellness Centre
