A luxury resort village on the best beach in the north-east

Having been demolished in early 2009, Trou aux Biches is finally taking shape as it heads towards its re-opening on the 1st of November, 2010. The construction of the new resort has been done in an eco-friendly manner and all efforts have been made to retain the characteristics that have given Trou aux Biches its reputation: charm, authenticity and an exceptional location. The new Trou aux Biches will consist of individual pavilions and Villas set within a large tropical park which preserves the resort’s unique atmosphere while delivering the ultimate in privacy, space, serenity and communion with nature.
The new Trou aux Biches accommodation includes:

  • 90 Junior Suites (from 63 m2)
  • 110 Tropical Junior Suites (from 70 m2)
  • 40 Family Suites (from 94 m2)
  • 44 Beach Front Suites with pools (from 102 m2 including terrace and pool)
  • 22 Beach Front Senior Suites with pools (from 163 m2 including terrace and pool)
  • 10 Two-bedroom Pool Villas (246 m2 including terrace and pool)
  • 17 Three-bedroom Pool Villas (290 m2 including terrace and pool) 

Six restaurants to promote alfresco dining

A unique choice in Mauritius within one single hotel! The six restaurants (gastronomic, Indian, Thai, Italian,

international and a beach restaurant) will serve cuisine in line with the traditional Beachcomber spirit. Restaurants will feature live cooking stations and the Chefs will feature their favourite dishes from their home countries.

 

Land Sports

The hotel features a Sports Centre and gymnasium offering the latest in fitness equipment, and there are 6 flood-lit tennis courts at the Head Tennis Centre.

Water Sports

A full range of water sports and equipment is available including unlimitted water-skiing (included), sailing, windsurfing, peddle-boats, glass-bottom boat trips and snorkelling trips.

 

Spa by Clarins

A Spa by Clarins featuring 20 thatched roof cabins will take care of all wellness, massage and spa treatments. The Spa is staffed by a qualified Team specially trained by Clarins.

 

Children
A Bob Marlin mini-club, with its own restaurant, will look after the needs of children aged from 3 to 12 years, and a “Teens Club” will be available in holiday periods.  A baby-sitting service can be arranged on request.

Weddings
As the favourite address for couples and honeymooners, Trou aux Biches will also feature two areas dedicated to wedding celebrations:
• one will be housed in a beautiful old banyan tree
• The other will feature a hut built on the beach overlooking the stunning lagoon

Although there are two dedicated areas for weddings, Beachcomber's policy of "one wedding per day" remains intact, ensuring the Bride's special day is 100% theirs.

Groups & Incentives
A conference room seating up to 150 guests in theatre-style configuration will be available for groups.
