7 days & 6 nights including 2 nights in the Serengeti
Using a mix of lodges and permanent luxury tented camps, this safari is a true adventure in Northern Tanzania. Highlights include Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire.
Day 1 - Lake Manyara
Transfer to Arusha arriving for lunch then travel on to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park stretches along a 50 kilometre section of the 600 metre high Great Rift escarpment and is a scenic gem described by Ernest Hemmingway as ‘the loveliest I had seen in Africa’. The various ecosystems of the Park – dense jungle, grassy flood plains and the wetlands of the lake – contain a huge variety of wildlife, including over 400 bird species. The ‘Big Five’ is well represented and include Manyara’s famous tree climbing lions. Kirurumu Lodge, your home for the night, has stunning views over Lake Manyara and is ideally situated on your journey to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

Day 2 - Ikoma Bush Camp, Serengeti
Your drive to the spectacular Serengeti provides you with game viewing on the way. Enjoy two nights at your camp including morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most famous national parks that shares the renowned migration of the wildebeest with the Mara in Kenya. Ikoma Bush Camp has the concession for the area to operate night drives and guided game walks, a fantastic option during your stay. Between May and July the migration passes close by the camp.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater

Check in to the Lodge for two nights then drive into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro has plentiful game and here you have one of the best chances of seeing the rare Black rhino. Return to Plantation Lodge in the afternoon. Each of the Lodge’s rooms is situated in the gardens and is decorated in an individual style – a combination of rustic charm and luxury.

With herds of up to 300 elephant, the migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. Built on a bluff overlooking the Tarangire River, Tarangire Safari Lodge offers a breathtaking panorama.
