Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge
Bush Lodge is famed for its warmth, vibrancy and legendary hospitality that has made this lodge a world classic. The guest lounge and bar areas have been decorated in a warm, contemporary style based on the premise that Bush Lodge was the home of a mid 1900's explorer, who travelled extensively through Africa always returning to his special place in the Sabi Sands, where he felt most at home. After each trip he would display mementoes and artefacts he had collected on his travels. Bush Lodge's outdoor areas now have two huge wooden viewing decks overlooking a water hole where animals regularly come to drink. The decks feature enormous sofas and armchairs where guests can put their feet up and enjoy the unspoilt bush in total luxury. There are two swimming pools which extend the outdoor relaxing area and for a more holistic experience, guests can choose from a range of massage treatments available at the Bush Nature Spa. Bush Lodge is an all-suite, exclusive lodge with 25 suites designed and furnished in a contemporary, yet ethnic style. A sense of space and light pervades each suite, while high thatch and discreet airconditioning provides a cool escape during the warmer months. External walls, the colour and texture of wet elephant hide, and the artistic interior and exterior use of indigenous slate for floors, bathroom walls and outside patios reflects an amber, gray and ochre palette, ensuring that Bush Lodge is unobtrusive and blends perfectly with the surrounding bushveld. The reserve is blessed with a great diversity of habitat and wildlife and as with all Sabi Sabi lodges, skilled rangers and trackers lead guests in open landrovers on a journey of discovery to view the elusive "Big Five" as well as a myriad smaller creatures and exceptional bird life.
