Stanley’s Camp & Chief’s Camp

5 days / 4 nights with optional 2 night Chobe extension

This fantastic safari offers land and water based game viewing experiences at different ends of the famous Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. Small luxury camps are used ensuring a truly memorable and unique experience.

Day 1 - Stanley’s Camp, Chief’s Island
Upon arrival at Maun airport you will be met by your pilot and transferred by light aircraft to Stanley’s Camp. Stanley’s is a small luxury camp consisting of eight safari tents raised on wooden decking, each with its own en suite. The elegantly appointed tents exude classic Africa with their hand crafted beds, the finest linen, antique furniture and paddle fans. Over the next two days your guide will take you on a discovery of Stanley’s private concessions. Game drives at Stanley’s are conducted in open vehicles that offer unencumbered views and the accompanying professional guides are amongst the best in Botswana. Game viewing at Stanley’s is extremely good with excellent numbers of predators and plains-game in the reserve. The area houses one of the largest buffalo populations in the Okavango Delta. Activities at Stanley’s Camp include walking safaris, mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions (water permitting), night drives and a unique elephant interaction with a semi-habituated herd (extra charge). In the evening enjoy a superb dinner at the camp.

Day 3 - Chief’s Camp, Chief’s Island
After breakfast, your light aircraft transfer takes you to Chief’s Camp for two nights. On arrival you are escorted to your luxury tented accommodation. En suite facilities and private viewing deck ensure your privacy and comfort. Afternoon game activities include paddling in a mokoro on the Delta waterways (water permitting) or a game drive in custom-built open 4x4 vehicles. Return to camp at dusk to enjoy a ‘sundowner’ in the bar prior to dinner. On the following day take an early morning game activity in either a mokoro or game drive in the Mombo area, an area renowned for its abundance of wildlife. A sumptuous brunch consisting of a fusion of African and Western cuisine is served when you return to the camp. The rest of the day
is at leisure prior to your afternoon game activity.

Day 5 - Depart
Depart early on your final game activity. On your return, check out and transfer to the Chief’s Camp airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Maun airport for the end of the tour.
