One of the most awe-inspiring and exhilarating destinations you will
ever visit, is Africa. It will warm your heart and have you yearning
to return. Over the many years we have travelled to and lived in
Africa we have found that the most important advice we can give is the
following: as a visitor to Africa you should be open minded as you will
face different challenges, have different experiences and will meet
different people. You should have a sense of adventure and a sense of
humour. You must understand that African time is not necessarily
measured in hours and minutes or using a clock. You should respect all
local customs and be prepared to see, do and experience things that are
